Seek same-day care for:
Severe, persistent toothache that isn’t responding to over-the-counter pain relief. Throbbing pain often indicates infection or nerve involvement that needs prompt assessment.
Facial swelling, especially if it’s spreading or affecting your ability to swallow or breathe. Dental infections can become serious if left untreated.

For swelling: Apply a cold pack to the outside of your face in 20-minute intervals. This helps reduce inflammation.
For a knocked-out tooth: Handle it only by the crown (white part), never the root. Rinse gently if dirty but don’t scrub. Store in milk or hold in your cheek (with saliva) and get to us immediately.
For bleeding: Apply firm pressure with clean gauze or a damp tea bag for 20-30 minutes.
For lost fillings: Temporary filling material from pharmacies can protect the cavity until you see us. Avoid chewing on that side.
