Anyda loves dentistry so much, she thinks she was born to be a dentist! Anyda originally lived in South Africa and moved to New Zealand in 1995, where she completed her dental degree at Otago University in the year 2000 with an equivalent of second class honours.
After working in New Zealand, she moved to Brisbane, and then to Melbourne in 2004 and has been working in Victoria ever since.
Anyda spent most of her time working in comprehensive dental practices. She also spent 11 years in a clinic in the Inner East of Melbourne assisting patients with a wide range of dental emergencies. There she learnt to think on her feet, as many of these required some interesting problem-solving.
As well as assisting people in pain, she has a strong focus on helping patients get from ‘the emergency’, to having a healthy stable (and beautiful) set of teeth with a predictable longterm result.
Cosmetic dentistry is essential for happiness, but so too is function. Hence, Anyda takes special care looking at the bite and designing her dental treatment plan with this in mind, using a range of options and materials that will best suit the patient.
Anyda also has an interest in Oral Surgery and Endodontics.
As a member of the Dawson Academy in the USA, she spends a great deal of time educating herself to be the best dentist she can be!
